EquaGen, a 50/50 joint venture between Entergy Corporation and Enexus Energy Corporation, will be the nation's premier nuclear operator.
EquaGen will have operating responsibility for the Enexus nuclear fleet and will provide management and technical services to the Entergy nuclear fleet. It will build on the industry equity that Entergy Corporation has established over the last decade for transforming underperforming nuclear plants and managing them safely, efficiently and profitably.
Those operating skills and management expertise have achieved an industry operating performance of a 90 percent combined capacity factor. Under the leadership of Michael Kansler, EquaGen will build on this foundation to attract the brightest and the best talent in the industry, offering them career development in a company that will become internationally recognized for its expertise and skills.
EquaGen will be uniquely positioned to grow through offerings of nuclear operating expertise, as well as ancillary nuclear services to third parties, including plant decommissioning and relicensing, and will continue to supply contracted services to the Nebraska Public Power District for the Cooper Nuclear Station.
